The “Way of Flowers”
The flower arrangements of this story were made with seasonal and local flowers and mushrooms – to emphasize and bring attention to the beauty of our local environments.
They are inspired by Ikebana, one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement, dating back to 100 AD. Ikebana is an art form of humble beauty, where the human and the natural world meet. It is as much an aesthetic as a spiritual pursuit and discipline that invites us to slow down to experience and express a deep appreciation of the beauty in nature.
